Break the Chain.         Spread the Surplus.  FREE the NEED.

Hard to believe it's been 21 years already. Thanksgiving is a special time for all of us. Despite the tighter economic times, surplus food and clothing still abounds.  Eager volunteers have been just as plentiful. Free the Need food days are a time when volunteers come to spread their surplus, have fun, chat and laugh while sorting donations and assembling food boxes together. The Thanksgiving boxes this year were a hefty 40 pounds a piece, not counting the 20 pound turkey!

This marks the first year that the Thanksgiving food program stretched into Jackson County, Oregon, giving food boxes there to families in need as well as in Siskiyou County and San Francisco.  Happy Thanks Giving!
