Volunteers pick up 10,500 pounds of donated surplus food, then sort and assemble it into 205 boxes.        The use of the flatbed truck used for food day every week is donated by a volunteer, as well as other          vehicles required for all of Free the Need's ongoing pick-ups and deliveries.

Food boxes are loaded onto the truck and delivered to families in the Mission.  For the first time in 20 years it rained during the Thanksgiving Food Giveaway.
