Siskiyou County
Volunteers gathered at the Klamath River Community Hall to unload a truckload of surplus fresh produce, canned and non-perishable foods, sort and distribute it all into large boxes, and then gave them away to 125 families that live along the Klamath River. The boxes included all the fixings for home cooked Thanksgiving meal including a fresh baked pie and a turkey.
San Francisco
Two days prior another group of volunteers had done the same thing in San Francisco, handing out 125 boxes in the Mission District. Some of the surplus food was driven by truck up to the Siskiyou County give away.
